    Welcome!

    I am very excited to be teaching fifth grade at Hancock Elementary School. I love the enthusiasm and eagerness to learn that this age group has. I look forward to a successful and fun year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated professional educator with experience working with diverse populations. I have taught 5th and 6th grade in California for the past 15 years.  I began teaching at Hancock in 2019.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My philosophy is to provide a safe and positive environment for every student. I seek to motivate my students to be life-long learners. My goal is for everyone to intrinsically want to learn and grow. I also want my class to have a growth mindset. I want them to persevere through challenges while I provide them with the tools to be successful. Students all learn differently. I believe it is crucial to provide various teaching methods to allow students multiple ways to comprehend the curriculum. Showing content visually is important, as well as providing auditory instruction. Students should also have opportunity to learn musically, kinesthetically, and artistically.
