    Welcome to 4th grade in Mrs. Ortega/Ms. McDougall’s class at Hancock Elementary. I am very excited about the opportunity to get to know you and am looking forward to a happy and productive 2022-2023 school year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University.  I an interested in English Language learners and have completed masters course work in this specific area. I have taught 4th grade in Arizona for 16 years.  I have taught 4th grade at Hancock for 9 of those years. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I am eager to understand the whole child in order to guide them through their educational journey. I believe helping a child exceed their own expectations by first understanding them as an individual.
