    Welcome to 5th Grade! You are in for a wonderful time of learning through fun and lots of hard work.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am an Arizona native. I grew up in Pinetop, AZ. I went to ASU for my undergraduate degree - Go Devils! I got my master's degree from NAU. I have been teaching for 30+ years.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that learning comes from fun and lots of hard work. I love using games to reinforce my teaching. I feel that kids learn to become better writers by writing all the time and they become better readers by reading and listening to a wide variety of literature! Students should be given many situations to practice problem solving. They should be able to teach each other skills. Then, they truly demonstrate mastery of curriculum. I have high expectations for my students and they are so successful because of it!
