    Welcome to Fourth Grade!
    My name is Bethany Byars. I have been married for 20 years.I have three children. My oldest will graduate from Basha High this year. I have a sophomore at Hamilton and a second grader here at Hancock. My family loves to travel, explore and volunteer together.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am your child's science and social studies teacher. My Bachelor's Degree is in science, and I worked in pediatric healthcare before getting my master's and moving into teaching. I have a passion for bringing real-life phenomena into the classroom for your child to explore!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that every child is a scientist! Each child deserves the opportunity to develop problem solving skills by building and creating using the engineering design process. I strive to provide as many hand-on, relevant classroom experiences as possible.
