    Welcome to 3rd Grade! My name is Michelle Draper and I am thrilled to be teaching your children at Hancock Elementary. I am looking forward to an exciting and successful school year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I was born and raised here in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. In 2010, I graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In 2014, I received my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Reading from Grand Canyon State University.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My goal as your child's teacher is to build a strong classroom community where students can feel comfortable to take risks, in a safe environment. I believe students should be held to high expectations, in order to continue growing in a positive manner in and outside of school. I will create an engaging learning environment that allows students to learn when they have opportunities to discover and inquire.
