Overview
WGA PTO is a non-profit organization run by volunteers (parents, guardians) in an effort to meet the needs of the greater school community, which include WGA students and their families, teachers, staff and administrators.
In short, WGA PTO's objectives are:
- To broaden and enhance school programs by supplementing the curriculum with diverse educational items.
- To assist the staff of WGA in creating a vital and productive school experience for each student.
- To provide effective communication between parents, staff and coummunity of WGA.
- To actively engage WGA families by planning and implementing a variety of school activities.
- To collaborate with the communities and take advantage of community resources that benefit family involvement and student learning.
- To raise funds and provide volunteers to extend and strengthen the purpose of WGA.
The PTO works in partnership with the principal, staff, parents and community to create a successful and engaging learning experience. We are dedicated to nurturing, educating and providing fun experiences for our students, teachers and staff
Serve the WGA CommunityThe PTO team is made up of the Executive Board Members (elected in April-May) and Committee Chairs (appointed). These volunteer positions serve for 1-year.

Support Programs and Learning Experiences
PTO support comes primarily through fundraising and volunteering efforts. In addition to the annual Check-a-thon, funding sources also come from spirit gear and swag sales, partner programs, restaurant nights, family nights, and donations.

Any parent or legal guardian of currently active student(s) at WGA is considered a member-at-large. There are no dues for membership.
All members can:
- Attend any/all general PTO meetings and/or view meeting minutes.
- Participate in any/all volunteer opportunities provided by WGA PTO
- Ask for updates on revenue and expenditures (i.e., WGA PTO funded projects) of the organiation
