My name is Priscilla Wong and I am delighted to join Weinberg Gifted Academy. Go Wildcats!
My Education and Professional Background
I was born in Hong Kong but grew up in Toronto, Canada. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Literature from University of Toronto. I completed my degree in Elementary Education in 1996 and began teaching soon after. I have taught Kindergarten, First and Fourth grades in both public and private schools, in Canada and the United States. This is my tenth year as an educator at CUSD and my first at WGA.
My Educational Philosophy
Children come in all shapes and sizes, with different interests, talents and abilities. As their teacher, I strive to help students to reach their full potential by celebrating their achievements and encouraging their progress. I will work to create a learning environment where students feel safe to take risks, to make mistakes, and try each day to do better and be better.
