    Welcome!

    My name is Steve Stoltenberg. I love teaching at Hamilton! This is my 30th year teaching! I am an Arizona Native. I went to Corona del Sol and played high school ball with Coach Harris! I love the state and all of its recreational opportunities. I have three kids, two of whom are still in school. My oldest does cybersecurity. I enjoy hiking, climbing, whitewater rafting, and Canyoneering, anything outdoors!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have worked in education for 26 years in Arizona! I taught junior high for 18 of those years. I have most recently been at the Chandler IRC as an Academic and Technology coach. Before that I taught math at Casteel, and Basha before that.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that students will be more motivated if they have agency in their learning. Although this is not always possible, it should be the ideal. Students should have the ability to see how their learning relates to real-world situations. I also believe that Blended Learning offers the ability for teachers to be more free to work one-on-one with students and in small groups. I will be using technology and online resources to give me this ability to work more with students during class time.
