    Welcome to my webpage. Here you will find information, help, and insights. I love teaching mathematics because it is the universal language that reaches across all societies. Math has the potential to help us solve problems, recognize patterns at work, and improve our understanding of how elements work together. My goal as a teacher is to inspire interest in math and to encourage students to reach their full potential.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been teaching high school math for 15 years. I earned a Bachelors of Science from ASU in 1992 and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University in 2014. My certification is in Secondary Education, Mathematics.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that every child has the ability to learn mathematics and to reach his/her greatest potential. Learning is a cooperative endeavor. I cannot force learning upon the unwilling, however, I will do all in my power to foster a welcoming learning environment. I seek to entice students to learn through discovery. My hope is that all of my students will leave each day with a new understanding of the math we are learning as well as its useful purpose in the world.
