    Welcome to my page! Here you will find general information about me, each of my classes (Theatre I, Theatre II, Theatre III,and Hamilton Theatre Company), and the clubs that I sponsor (Drama Club and Speech and Debate)

    My Education and Professional Background

    This is my 24th year in education, my 20th year as a full time teacher, my 17th year at Hamilton High, and my 15th year a Hamilton's theatre teacher. I have a B.S. in Environmental Science (I know unusual for a Theatre teacher), a Post Baccalaureate in Secondary Science Education, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and a Masters in Theatre Production and Design. I have worked in professional and community theatre for the last 25 years as an actress, technician, director, manager, and (of course) as teacher .

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe in creating a fun environment in which students feel safe to take the risks necessary to learn in Theatre. I believe that the lessons that students learn in my classes (public speaking, team work, confidence, problem solving, empathy-just to name a few) will help them in any future career. My goal for every student is that they develop a life-long appreciation for Theatre Arts. Also-I believe the children are our future-teach them well and let them lead the way-show them all the beauty they possess inside-give them a sense of pride to make it easier. Let the children's laughter remind us of how we used to be. :)
