Hello, my name is Shawn Hansen and I have been a police officer with the Chandler Police Department since 2004 and am currently assigned as the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Hamilton High School. My primary role at the school is to ensure the safety of all students and staff. I also provide classroom instruction of law-related topics throughout the school year. Prior to my assignment as a SRO, I worked as a Field Training Officer (FTO) for approximately 11 years. As a FTO, I trained and mentored newly hired officers of the Chandler Police Department. I am also a certified Crisis Intervention Trained (CIT) officer, and a member of the SWAT Negotiations team. I am a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, once a Marine always a Marine!
