    I am a happy and confident math teacher (with lots of learning still to do). I am the sponsor of the Students for Sustainable Schools club (with lots of learning to do here as well).

    My Education and Professional Background

    B.A. from Arizona State University and a M.A.T. from Northern Arizona University  -- 28 years of experience teaching high school mathematics

    My Educational Philosophy

    I am a proud public school educator, I believe that all children have the ability to learn and the right to a quality education. I strive to create a math classroom that is a safe learning environment for all. It is important to me that my students and their parents, as well as other teachers and administrators see me as someone they can approach. I make it a priority to be fair and non-discriminating. I believe that high school should be about academics and much more. In my classroom, students should learn LOTS of mathematics as well as how to communicate with each other and with their instructors. My students should know that I want them to learn without being embarrassed if they don't know the right answer to a problem. All students should be able to interact confidently and safely in this academic setting.
