    Welcome!

Welcome to Honors World History! This year we will be examining, analyzing, and discovering World History from Early Civilizations to the present day. Aspects include the First Humans, Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, World Religions, the Dark Ages, the Renaissance, the Age of Enlightenment, WWI, WWII, the Cold War, the Vietnam War, and relevant events that the World has dealt with since the earliest remnants of human beings.

    My Education and Professional Background

This is now my fifth year here at Hamilton High School and I am looking forward to another great year. I currently teach Honors World History and I am the head JV Baseball Coach here at Hamilton as well. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis on History from Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University.

    My Educational Philosophy

Striving to be a great teacher for the students is a responsibility that I am willing to take. By bringing a positive attitude to a positive environment the student will learn what is truly important in their lives and continue to practice those attitudes as they each progress. I will be the one to influence and to help my students excel by having a proactive approach. With the spark of positive attitude and leadership each individual will have a chance to succeed in the classroom and in life. As an educator, I will do everything I can to make sure that the students are well cared for and respected. The opportunity to succeed and be a part of something bigger than the individual is what awaits my students and all who participate in my classroom environment. Equality and diversity in the classroom are as important as it is in life and if the students are exposed to that early in their education and their lives, then each student will have a better school and life experience.
