    Welcome!

    Welcome to Drawing and Painting and welcome to my Basha website! I teach Drawing and Painting I, II, III, Intro to Art, and AP Drawing.

    My Education and Professional Background

          This is my first year teaching at Basha High school and I am excited to get to know each of you! I have taught K-12 for the past six years, teaching everything from Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture to Ceramics! I earned my B.A. from Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, where I spent most of my adolescent and early adult years. I also earned a Masters degree in Art Education from the University of Florida and another Masters in Educational Psychology from Ball State University. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I am a lifelong learner at heart and enjoy teaching through art as it is a means to self-expression. I foster a sense of belonging and an appreciation for a variety of art making processes while encouraging exploration through practice. I see art as a universal language that can connect people and provide an opportunity for creativity and personal growth.
