Close Up! / Overview

Close Up’s High School Programs are designed to give students and educators an inside look at their democracy in action. Using the nation’s capital as a living classroom, participants get a “close up” view of government - interacting with the people, processes, and places that make this federal city so unique.

In just six days on Close Up’s Washington High School Program, you will learn more than you ever thought possible, achieve more than you ever thought you could, and have more fun than we could ever explain! During our fast-paced, interactive programs in the nation’s capital, you will take part in exciting, challenging, and unforgettable activities as you breathe in all that Washington has to offer. From visits to the famous sites of Washington to meetings with government officials, Close Up not only allows you to see your government, but to experience your government.
