My Education and Professional Background
This year, I begin my seventh year teaching French. I have a B.A. in French and an M.A. in French Literature from Arizona State University. I also grew up in Belgium, where I learned French at the age of 3 years old and attended Belgian public schools in French for 10 years.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that every student has the ability to learn and master a foreign language with the help of discipline and consistent work, support from their teacher, parents and educational community. I also believe that learning a second language opens up a student's mind to new perspectives and gives them the critical thinking skills that are necessary to succeed in our society.
