Project Lead the Way Honors Introduction to Engineering Design
Grades: 9, 10
Full Year 1 Credit - Fee requiredIn this pre-engineering course, students use a problem-solving model to improve existing products and invent new ones. They learn how to apply this model to learn how to solve problems in and out of the classroom. Using sophisticated three dimensional modeling software, students communicate the details of products. Emphasis is placed on analyzing potential solutions and communicating ideas to others.
AP Computer Science Principles
Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12
Full Year 1 Credit - Fee RequiredAP Computer Science Principles introduces students to the foundational concepts of computer science and challenges them to explore how computing and technology can impact the world. With a unique focus on creative problem solving and realworld applications, AP Computer Science Principles prepares students for college and career placement.
Project Lead the Way Honors Cyber Security
Grades: 10, 11, 12
Full Year 1 Credit - Fee RequiredPrerequisite: AP Computer Science Principles
Cybersecurity introduces the tools and concepts of cybersecurity and encourages students to create solutions that allow people to share computing resources while protecting privacy. Nationally, computational resources are vulnerable and frequently attacked; in Cybersecurity, students solve problems by understanding and closing these vulnerabilities. This course raises students' knowledge of and commitment to ethical computing behavior. It also aims to develop students' skills as consumers, friends, citizens, and employees who can effectively contribute to communities with a dependable cyberinfrastructure that moves and processes information safely.
