Welcome!
On behalf of the Huskies, I would like to welcome you to Hamilton High School.
I believe that a quality education is vital to the normal growth and development of young people. At Hamilton, we are dedicated to being responsive to the educational needs of all students as well as the values and expectations of the community. Next to physical survival, the greatest need of a human being is psychological survival: to be understood, to be affirmed, to be validated, and to be appreciated.
Hamilton High School has a long tradition of excellence in academics as well as extracurricular and co-curricular activities. Two of our greatest strengths are the pride and support of our parents and community. They are the critical contributors to the success of our students who represent Hamilton so well.
I welcome your involvement as we work to provide the best possible education to the students of Hamilton High School. I encourage you to contact me with your ideas, suggestions and concerns.

My Educational Philosophy
I believe that the teacher must care deeply about every student. Teaching is not a ritual or mechanical process, but a relationship between teacher and learner. Students need to be activated. It is impossible for educators to motivate students; students can only be activated to motivate themselves. Students do not care how much the teacher knows until they know how much the teacher cares about them as individuals.
I believe that each student must be given the opportunity to see himself/herself as a success. Each student must be enrolled, not only in school but also in the belief that he or she will contribute to, participate in, and benefit from an education. Goethe taught, "Treat a man as he is and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he can and should be and he will become as he can and should be." All students must be seen as valuable, capable individuals, who can and will learn.
I believe that the master teacher is an intellectual who deals within the realm of ideas. He/She is driven by an insatiable desire to communicate these ideas and knowledge into the working thought patterns of his/her students. The master teacher skillfully utilizes research, proven teacher behaviors and essential skills designed to draw the best out of each and every student. He/She excites students by being passionate about teaching and the opportunities that an education can provide.
The master teacher is constantly working at being the most positive enthusiastic person he/she can possibly be. He/She affirms the belief that all students can and will learn. This attitude then permeates the classroom, and before they know it, the students are affirming it to themselves.Click to Report a Website Problem
