Mr. Ring was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but moved to Arizona when he was 9. He grew up in Tempe and went to ASU upon high school graduation. Here, Mr. Ring earned his BS from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1994. Mr. Ring then attended the University of Phoenix where he earned his Post Bac. in teacher education (1996) and his MAEd in Curriculum and Instruction (2000). Mr. Ring currently holds Arizona teaching certificates in five disciplines. He began his teaching career in the Queen Creek Unified School District where he was honored with the Middle Level Teacher of the Year Award (1999). Currently in his 25th year of teaching, Mr. Ring has spent the last twenty-one years at Hamilton where he teaches Algebra 1, and Carnegie Math.
In his personal life, Mr. Ring is husband to Amy, a Casteel High teacher, and dad to three boys: Collin, Andrew, and Bryson. Collin is a junior at ASU; Andrew just graduated from Hamilton; and Bryson will be a sophomore this year. The boys definitely keep him busy. We enjoy our family time together at local sporting events (go ASU - Suns, Dbacks), the beaches of San Diego & Cape Cod, our own activities, and watching the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics on TV!
