On February 9th, 2019, Agriculture students from Hamilton High School participated in the Science Saturday in downtown Chandler. They were able to share their knowledge of chickens ands eggs with the public. Several students brought their own chickens which are housed at Hamilton High School to give the public a hands on approach to learning the "science of chickens." Students discussed the anatomy, breed information, egg colors and were able to answer the community members questions about chickens. They also had special chicken trivia, coloring pages and fun chicken themed stickers and stamps for children. The hit of the tent was definitely the ability to hold and pet a live chicken and to take pictures with them. This event helped students improve their public speaking ability and raise awareness about chicken husbandry and Hamilton's Agriculture Program and FFA Chapter.
