    My goal this school year is to allow each student to see the positive impact they can have on their surroundings and to believe in themselves and their abilities. I believe strongly in being an advocate for my students' and ensuring that their educational lives can be successful as possible.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been in the teaching profession since 1995, working with students who have intellectual disabilities. I have a BA degree from ASU in Special Education with an emphasis on students with Intellectual Disabilities. In December 2011, I received my MA in curriculum and Instruction from NAU.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that regular communication is the key to success. Please feel free to contact me at any time by phone, email or in-person. My door is always open. If you cannot get in touch with me immediately, kindly leave a message either on voicemail or with the office staff and I will return your call as quickly as possible. I check my emails several times a day, so you should receive replies to your emails within a few hours. Keep in mind that emails are considered public record, so confidential I want you to know that I am not here only for your child; I consider it a privilege to work with the whole family. I realize that the parents are the child's most valuable resource and I want to work together as much as possible. If your child knows that you and I are on the same page, he/she will feel well cared for and will know that we will hold him or her accountable for their success.
