    My Education and Professional Background

    I have lived in Arizona for most of my life. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, an emphasis on Mathematics and Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University. I have been teaching junior high school since 2004 and have taught Math, Math Intervention, Study Skills, and the AVID Elective. I am excited about a great school year!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that intelligence is malleable and capable of being developed. Successful students and successful adults alike are not only intelligent, but possess character traits to fall back on when tasks and life get tough. Some of these traits include grit, self-control, gratitude, and curiosity—all qualities that can be learned and fostered!
