    Welcome!

    I am excited for my 2nd year here with Payne Jr. High's gifted program. I look forward to meeting you all and enjoying a rigorous class full of collaboration, critical thinking and growth.

    My Education and Professional Background

    This will be my 10th year with CUSD. I spent 5 years working in 8th grade general science; the last two of those years adding a section of PLTW engineering classes. I then took an opportunity to work in gifted mathematics for Willis Jr. High's STEAM program, for three years. I moved to be closer to my growing family and have enjoyed the community and support at Payne Jr. High. I am grateful to be entering my second year as the gifted science teacher here and look forward to another great year.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe in what I do and the positive impact a teacher can make on each student. I aim to make each student feel valued in my classroom. I am mindful of facilitating a class that will give students the best chance for a successful path, wherever they choose to go.
