    Welcome!

    I like to think of our classroom as a family...so welcome to our family! I began teaching at Basha Elementary in 2006 and joined Payne Junior High School last year (2023-2024)! I hope we have an awesome year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my Bachelors Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education in 2006 from Black Hills State University. Prior to teaching, I assisted adults with disabilities in accessing their community, learning how to carry out household chores, build and establish relationships and learn how to become independent. I have worked as a respite and rehabilitation provider, as well as volunteered for the Special Olympics. I began teaching in 2006.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My goal for your child while in my classroom is for them to learn in a safe and caring environment. We continue to strive in academic achievements, but also learn life long fundamental and social skills. Everyone has a voice in our room!
