The transition to Junior High can be an adjustment for both students and parents.  Below are some things parents can do to help their child be even more successful in Junior High:

    • See that your child is punctual and attends school regularly.

    • Encourage them to succeed and develop good study habits
    • Encourage your child to get involved in clubs and sports.

    • Provide a quiet place for homework to be completed. (Same place, same time, each night.)

    • Check and read your child's agenda nightly and ask to see completed homework.

    • Supervise the cleaning out of your child's back pack once a week.

    • Help your child organize his/her folders, notebook, and back pack.

    • When asked, help your child study for tests. (Seek tutoring when necessary.)

    • Review progress reports and report cards (Progress reports are available online). Parents are also able to check students' grades 24 hours a day through Infinite Campus, call our office at 480-224-2400 to find out more information about Infinite Campus.

    • Contact your child's teachers if you have any concerns or questions.
