The cost of the test is $25, and payments can be made through Infinite Campus Parent Portal or in person at the bookstore.
The deadline to register for the test is September 5, 2024.Why should my student take the PSAT NMSQT?
1. Scholarship opportunities: Junior year, a high score on the PSAT could qualify your student for the National Merit Scholarship Competition. This may result in thousands of dollars and opportunities to attend a prestigious university.
2. Free Test Preparation: Save hundreds of dollars on test preparation books or tutoring. The exam provides a detailed score report. You can use that information in two different ways. Your student can link their scores to Khan Academy to create an individualized SAT test preparation program free of charge. Or you can work with Revolution Prep for additional help! Use the Test Prep Page as an additional resource.
3. Practice, Practice, Practice: Multiple exposures to the PSAT will prepare students to take the SAT at the end of their junior year. This is often the first experience students have with a timed standardized test. See Test Prep page for all the additional help available!
FYI - Hamilton does not offer PSAT 10 or PSAT 8/9.
