    Hello! I am excited to be teaching at Casteel High School and look forward to a great school year.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am a graduate of Arizona State University (BAE Secondary Education, English) and a graduate of Grand Canyon University (MA Secondary Education). I also taught in the Tempe Union High School District for twelve years and have been teaching at Casteel High School since 2017.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that learning and understanding is influenced greatly upon one's ability to connect and relate to the material presented. Students should be able to recognize that much of what they learn can be interpreted subjectively as long as validity can be provided.
