    My Education and Professional Background

    I earned my BSBA from the University of Arizona in 1998 and Master's in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in 2001. I have worked in education since 2000. I've served as a Dean of Students, Instructional Coach/Department Chair, Transition Coordinator, General Education English/Math Teacher, Resource English/Social Studies/Math Teacher, Basketball/Tennis/Golf Academy Coach, and Journalism Teacher. I've worked at the Junior High and High School level. I've served on the Special Education English Curriculum Adoption Committee in Gilbert, the equity team at Casteel, as well as 160-plus hours of professional development workshops. I'm also the Varsity Men's Golf Coach and Sports Debate Club Sponsor at Casteel.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My educational philosophy centers around the central question, "Is this in the best interest of the student?" I believe this question should drive all educational decisions for any teacher or organization. I truly believe each individual should strive to be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem.
