My Educational Philosophy

In my classroom, I want students to be proud of what they achieve. I want my classroom to be a safe space for students to express their ideas. My students will not be afraid to fail because they have the support of their classmates and teachers along the journey. Students should be encouraged to take risks, and the results should be celebrated as a step on the path to success. In our class, we will “fail forward” with the intention of learning from any setbacks. Through the study of theatre, my students will gain skills that they will be able to use throughout their lives. By the end of our course, students will have a deeper understanding of themselves, the world, and the magic of theatre!
