    My Education and Professional Background

    I attended UC San Diego. After teaching in Colorado, our family moved to AZ in 2002. I taught at Chandler High for 15 years before moving to Casteel. I love CUSD, both of our children are living their best life because of the education they received.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe in two key principles-1. respect all 2. the classroom is a learning environment. Student learning is about understanding concepts, not memorizing steps. I teach how to be a successful student who takes ownership of their education by discussing how to study, how to learn in a classroom, how to take notes- basically, learning how to learn. The climate in my class reflects my belief that each student deserves an education in a positive environment; each student is someone's child and should be valued. I truly believe that you can learn and laugh.
