My Education and Professional Background
B.S. Journalism, University of Florida M.Ed Curriculum & Instruction, Arizona State University As photojournalist and picture editor for 17 years, I lived history covering everything from natural disasters to presidential campaigns. Photojournalism took me to six countries-- and won me a Pulitzer Prize in 1998.
My Educational Philosophy
I love teenagers. As a teacher my hope is that my classroom be a creative, insightful, and happy refuge for all students. And that they leave with knowledge every day. Enthusiasm, respect, and responsibility are paramount to successful learning and teaching. I'm married to Jeff. We have two cool kids- Will and Jaime.
