    Welcome to Mrs. Popham's Page! Here you will find info for Economics, Financial Literacy, & Government courses. I have also included a “useful links” tab, which has info useful for civics concepts.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been at Perry High School since 2016, and started teaching in the Phoenix Union School District in 2009. At Perry, I have taught primarily Economics and Government courses, although I have also taught Psychology as well. Over the years, I have taught most social studies courses, as well as all four levels of English. I have a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Arizona State University, specializing in political parties, elections, and international security. I also have my Master's degree in Secondary Education Curriculum and Instruction from ASU and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from NAU. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    Teachers are part of a team, along with parents and the community, which helps students to become better versions of themselves. I hope to help foster a curiosity, and love of lifetime learning. Overall, I want to help give them tools to help them to become better humans, and successful in their futures, wherever they may go.
