Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! Throughout this website you will find important information that will help you to succeed this year; please use the resources provided.
My Education and Professional Background
My passion for literature and education led me to obtain my BA in Secondary Education English from Arizona State University (Go Sun Devils!) and I feel very fortunate to be able to bring literature to life in the classroom. I am proud to say that I am an Arizona native and a product of the Chandler School District. I look forward to giving back to the District that gave so much to me, and am thrilled to get the opportunity to celebrate literature with your student!
My Educational Philosophy
I believe the classroom should provide a safe space for students to interact with the world (past/present) using the pages of a book as their vehicle for exploration. In my classroom, literature serves as inspiration for new ideas, growth, and life lessons. I strive to create a warm classroom community where my students can safely express themselves, and embrace reading/writing, creating a lifelong passion for English.
