• Final Exam: Research Paper Bucket Rubric 

    The Idea here is that you either fill the bucket, or you don’t. In other words, you either complete the requirement and earn points, or you don’t complete the requirement and lose points. Each bucket filled is worth 5 points. 

    ◊Does your paper have an appropriate cover page? Your title should be in the exact center, date at the bottom and the author’s name between the title and date. (Chicago Style) 

     ◊Does your paper have appropriate formatting and grammar? Is your paper 1.5 spaced? Does your paper have appropriate page numbers? Make sure your paper looks professional, has appropriately sized font, appropriate grammar and does not have excessive spelling errors. (Chicago Style) 

    ◊Does your paper use appropriate footnotes/endnotes? (Chicago Style) Cite quotes or ideas that aren’t yours. 

    ◊Does your paper have an appropriate Bibliography? Cite all your sources at the end. 

    ◊Does your paper cite at least 1 book? Is this source accurately documented? 

    ◊Does your paper cite at least 1 primary source? Is this source accurately documented? 

    ◊Does your paper cite at least journal/database article? Is this source accurately documented? 

    ◊Does your paper have a clear main thesis, argument or opinion?  

    ◊Does your paper use appropriate facts that clearly relate to your main thesis, argument or opinion? Is it generally well written, organized and supported with details?  

    ◊Is your paper between 2-4 pages long?
