The SAT/ACT Question of the Day (Q.O.D.) is intended to expose students to the type of questions they will see when they take either of those two tests. The more exposure the students receive, the less daunting the test will seem and the more familiar they will become with the type of questions they ask; therefore, hopefully increasing their test scores.
The Q.O.D. is due every Friday. Click here for the Q.O.D. form.
Students can choose either test's Q.O.D. to do for that day, as long as they specify which test on the handout. There are 3 ways the students can access the Q.O.D.:
1. Download the Daily Practice for the New SAT App.
This app does not require the students to have an account; they can just use it as a guest. They can view archived questions as well.
2. Download the ACT Practice App by Varsity Tutors.
This app MAY require them to create an account. The downside to this app is that the students cannot view archived questions, but they can choose the type of question to answer. The app may look like either of these pictures.
Because they are technically not old enough to do a test prep course, the students may have to add 1-2 years to their ages. The students can sign in by creating an account or by using their Google sign in. They will have to confirm the email address through a link they send to your inbox. The students DO have the option to view archived questions using the website, even though the app does not allow this. Once on the website, click on the 'Plans' tab and then 'Question of the Day'.
