Welcome!
Welcome to the Wellness Room! The wellness room was started to provide social, emotional and mental health support to students in a school setting. We have created a safe place where all students are welcome to come for support, resources, and community. I meet with students individually, in groups, and in the classroom. This space can be particularly helpful for students struggling with stress, anxiety and any other mental, social, or emotional needs.
My Education and Professional Background
I grew up in this community and am a Hamilton High School graduate myself! I graduated with my bachelor's degree in social work from Northern Arizona University, so I am a Lumberjack at heart. I then went on to earn my master's degree in social work from Arizona State University.
Go Jacks and Go Devils!
My Educational Philosophy
As a social worker in a school setting, my role is to help empower students by providing support in whatever way the student needs. This ranges from meeting with students to discuss social, emotional, and mental health needs, to providing counseling and support groups where students can be introduced to peers with similar struggles, or giving educational presentations in classrooms. My goal is to be an accessible resources for students seeking social and emotional support so that they can perform their best in the classroom and at school!
