• Trevor Hauver, class of 2017

Trevor Hauver is a three-year starter on varsity. As a sophomore in 2015, he made his first varsity start on opening day in left field against Boulder Creek. In his first at bat, he launched his first varsity home run. For most of the season, he started at third base where he was named to the All-CUSD 2nd Team.

During the season he set the single-season school record for doubles (16), RBI (49), home runs (8, tied with Alex Burridge), and he also added his name to the list of Pumas with a grand slam.

In the summer of 2016, he became the third Puma to represent the state of Arizona in the Sunbelt Tournament in Oklahoma, as well as the second Puma to represent PHS in the Area Code Games.

During his senior campaign of 2017, Hauver returned as the everyday shortstop and was a key part of the best PHS defensive unit in school history (.959 FP). In addition, he set the single-season school record for walks (31) and on-base percentage (.578).

Prior to opening day 2017, Hauver was named to the Collegiate Baseball Magazine Pre-Season All American Team, the Rawlings/Perfect Game All American team. During the season, Hauver lead all Pumas in doubles (14), base on balls (31), batting average (.405), on-base percentage (.578), slugging percentage (.734), OPS (1.312), and assists (65).

At the conclusion of the season, he was once again named to the first team All CUSD, All Premier Region, All State and All AzCentral teams. Collegiate Baseball magazine named him a 2017 All American. Hauver's teammates voted him the 2017 Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year, and he also received Perry High School's Senior Single-Sport Athlete of the Year award.
